About the Images

The Chinese watercolor paintings are on acid free rice paper and most of them have the white paper as a background. Some of the images are not as good as they should be.

 Ning Yeh was my first instructor.  He visited the DC area and gave a workshop which I attended for two years.

After Ning Yeh, I started taking workshops from Mr Henry Wo Yue-Kee. I have studies with him for almost 30 years now and am usually one of the first to sign up when he visits from China and announces his workshops.

My paintings are originals only (no prints or reproductions).

All my paintings are rendered from nature, never from a photograph. I try to follow the seasons when choosing my subject matter. For instance, in the Spring I will bring tulips into my studio or sit outside in my garden to paint directly from nature.

By teaching Chinese Brush Painting three days a week I create many pieces of art a month. Only a few of my paintings are listed on my web-site.  If you see any subject that you are interested in and would like to see more, please e-mail me.

All Chinese paintings are sold unframed; rolled in a tube for shipping.

Most of the measurements include space for a mat and frame, it is not the image size. I can provide exact image size upon request.
